System Design Requirements for the Cryogenic Energy Transmission (CET) System Simulation.

摘要

The purpose of the simulation is to provide a mechanism for demonstrating the validity of the concepts fundamental to the feasibility of a Cryogenic Energy Transmission (CET) pipeline. Questions in many correlated areas of research must be simultaneously answered,including:the scientific and engineering questions relating to pipeline construction and operation;the environmental questions involved in the potential impact on the areas surrounding the pipeline;and the economic questions relating CET pipelines to conventional pipeline for construction and operation costs. A modularized system design of computer submodels is contemplated which interfaces with a data base that has a centralized structural description. A system overview is presented and the following CET subsystems are described:feeder plant,pipeline segment,pumping station, recooler,and terminal.
