The Posta Fibreno Lake Regional Natural Reserve (in the province of Frosinone, Latium) is characterized by a high natural landscape and cultural resources as very few protected areas can be equal. The reserve covers 400 hectares and includes the banks of the river Carpello, the hilly area between the towns of Carpello e Vallone della Pica and the Lake surface from which the effluent Fibreno is originated, tributary of the Liri river. The importance of regional and national water resources is always under attention by the scientific community because they represent ecological corridors, surrounded by a matrix of anthropogenic habitats and they are submitted to human impacts.
