Restoration of the Pond in Central Park, Manhattan, New York City

The excessive sediments in Central Park Pond, New York were the cause of, eutrophication. The restoration methods are: dredging, reconstructing rip-rap wall (to prevent erosion), and constructing silting bed and weirs. The water quality was upgraded and recreation enhanced.
