Technical and Scientific Research Accompanying the Projects on 'Needle Milling', including the Determination of Specific Process Parameters

摘要

The new manufacturing process, needle milling, was studied. The first application is the discharge of surfaces on rolled products, such as sheet metal, pipes, sheet bars, and so on. This machining is to prepare final rolling operations. The methods used today do not meet the demands of humane working conditions (noise, dust, refinish by hand, pickling, pollution). The application of needle milling seems to be an effective alternative. On testing the applications in cooperation with industrial enterprises, the fundamentals of needle milling were defined and further possibilities of application were found.
