Development and Evaluation of an Employee Hazard Reporting and Management Information System (EHRMIS) in a Hospital

The effectiveness of an employee hazard reporting and management information system was investigated. The system was implemented in a major community hospital that employed over 1800 workers. Implementation of the new program involved an initial hazard survey distributed to employees to identify existing hazards, and establishment of the reporting and information system. The authors note that this system has been permanently established at the hospital as a useful supplement to existing hazard information programs.
