Climate Variability and Soil Hydrology in Water Resource Evaluation

摘要

The feasibility of developing a technology for the timely and efficient assessment of soil water resources depends upon three critical factors: (1) software capable of providing comprehensive, detailed, and flexible integration of soil hydrology and climate over time; (2) adequate computer hardware; and (3) the necessary input data. The Phase I feasibility study has demonstrated that all three conditions for further development of a water resource assessment technology can be satisfied. The research has established protocols and data base requirements for the selected water resource system.
