摘要

Subsidence resulting from the collapse of abandoned underground mines is asignificant problem, especially in areas where surface development has taken place. The most common methods used to abate subsidence are slurry backfilling, remote pneumatic stowing and cement grouting. The most common method of pneumatic stowing is dilute phase transport. The drawbacks to stowing with the dilute phase technique are the limited placement of fill material, the cost of equipment, and abrasion to the system. In an effort to reduce the abrasion of the elbow, the 'Dry Feed Ejector' was developed. The dry feed ejector eliminates the need for costly airlock feeders typically associated with pneumatic stowing.
