Experimental and Analytical Results for the Structural Behavior of the Sheet Metal Parabolic Solar Collector

The experimental and finite element analysis have been completed on the structural behavior of the sheet metal configuration of the parabolic, line focusing solar collector. The emphasis is on the model that will be field tested at Sandia National Laboratories during 1982. Comparisons are made between the experimental and finite element results. The comparisons demonstrate that the finite element model can be used to predict trends of the structural behavior. (ERA citation 07:046408)
