Limited data on the bursting of circular, initially flat, grooved and plain steel diaphragms opening into a 30.5-cm-square section are presented in tabular form. In addition, these data were used to determine values of an empirical constant to be used in a design equation for predicting diaphragm bursting pressures and opening times. (Author)
