摘要

The effect of operating variables of a hydrogen fueled conibustor on exhaust concentrations of total oxides of nitrogen was determined at inlet-air temperature levels up to 810 K, pressure of 4.14x10 N/m², and reference velocity of 21. 3 m/sec. The combustor, which was origi¬nally designed for hydrocarbon fuel produced a NOx concentration of 380 ppm with hydrogen at 810 K inlet-air temperature. A reduction in NOx of about 30 percent was obtained by modifica¬tion to a lean or rich primary zone. The lowest NOx levels obtained with hydrogen were equiv¬alent to those of the reference combustor burning hydrocarbon fuels.
