U.H.F. scatter propagation across the English Channel

The incidence of scatter propagation in a trans-horizon path across the English Channel has been studied in order to assess the effect it has on the performance of a u. h. f. television re-broadcast link to the Channel Islands. For small angles of scatter the degree of scattering observed was consistent with simple theory. The effect will result in a relatively minor degradation of link performance.
