Software for the analysis of the steady state performance of a Reverse-Rankine heat pump cycle was developed. Two different configurations were defined. The first configuration called Supplementary Cooling Assembly consists of a heat pump loop whereby heat for evaporation of the refrigerant is taken from a core loop fluid passing through the evaporator and heat given off by the condensing refrigerant is transferred to another core loop fluid passing through the condenser. This system is to be built into a larger fluid loop system. The second configuration called refrigerator is very similar to a commercial refrigerator. The software developed allows for analyzing the influence of the relevant parameters on the performance of the heat pump. A discussion of user requirements and options is also included. This document contains the Report on the Problem Analysis and the Programmer's Manual. The User's Manual is contained in a separate document.
