摘要

The arbitrary time dependent equations of motion in fluid dynamics, serving as starting points for aeroelastic investigations are discussed. The reduction and simplification of these equations to a level more suitable to solution procedures is carried out. A general description of integral and singularity solution methods is given, together with the corresponding boundary conditions. Some of the major prediction methods in unsteady aerodynamics currently in use are discussed in detail. It is shown that the introduction of viscous effects is necessary for future investigations, and that the transonic speed range remains in a low developmental state.
