The Cross-over Points in Lattice Gauge Theories with Continuous Gauge Groups

The authors obtain a closed expression for the weak-to-strong coupling cross-over point in all Wilson type lattice gauge theories with continuous gauge groups. A weak coupling expansion of the mean field self-consistency equation is used. In all cases where the results can be compared with Monte Carlo calculations the agreement is excellent.
