Application of the Spoke Filter to Digital IR (Infrared) Images

A technique that uses a spoke filter to isolate the convex regions in IR images is described. This information can then be used to identify likely target positions. A small number of IR images was processed using this spoke filter, and the results indicate that the technique merits further investigation.
