Yield Forecasting from Remote Sensing Data: A Survey of Methods Available in 1982

Vegetation spectral indexes, biological information from microwaves, a vegetation thermal index, the warning of crop stresses from vegetation indexes, the supervision of climatic factors such as precipitation, temperature, insolation and evapotranspiration, the supervision of agricultural practices, and the use of remote sensing data in Agromet models either as alarm and yield reduction models or as remote sensing data in crop-weather models are discussed.
