摘要

The theoretical approaches on the stopping power of the charged particles penetrating through matters are reviewed. Particular attention is paid to the problems of the energy losses of projectile ions in hot and dense plasmas in the study of inertial confinement fusion (ICF). General physical and mathematical treatments are also outlined.
