Chaotic dynamics of periodically driven rf superconducting quantum interference devices; instabilities and chaotic solutions of the current biased dc superconducting interference device; tangential bifurcation and critical indices in a josephson junction; chaotic dynamics of nonideally driven simple oscillators; nonuniversal critical behavior in a model for charge-density-wave dynamics; and mode-locking in an infinite set of coupled circle maps were studied. The utility of bifurcation theory and the applicability of the universality of one dimensional mapping were examined. The effect of the number of degrees of freedom, and the possibility of observing chaos experimentally were investigated.
