摘要

The Wills Plasma Physics Department of the University of Sydney research program continues to have two major focuses: the study of hydromagnetic waves and RF heating using the TORTUS tokamak and, the development of diagnostic techniques. Their gas discharge studies have been expanded to include work on the characteristics of metal vapor vacuum arcs, as well as on the magnetron sputtering discharge used in the production of selective surfaces for solar collectors.
