摘要

A thermodynamical analysis of the integration of a magnetic cycle in a refrigeration cycle; the process configuration choices; and the implementation of the first design of a last stage refrigeration step within a minimum overall weight design concept are summarized. The feasibility of magnetic cooling to 4K design temperature is demonstrated. Compared to Joule-Thompson systems, overall weight is of the same order.
