Petri-Net Model of Access Control Mechanisms

摘要

A set of elementary computer access control policies is identified, and modeled with Petri nets. It is shown how the control mechanisms enforcing policies such as discretionary access, constrained access, or cooperative authorization can be expressed and modeled as a combination of these elementary mechanisms. The uniformity and modularity of the Petri-net model thus obtained prove to be advantageous.
