摘要

The statistical and the kinetic theory of slightly nonideal plasmas is described. The plasma parameter, a characteristic number for the ratio of interaction energy to kinetic energy, is not very small, though smaller than unity. The equation of motion for the microscopic density functions, the Klimontovich equation, is solved iteratively, with the multiple time scale formalism. As initial condition it is assumed that the correlations between the particles vanish. The average interparticle distance is taken as the characteristic length, which implies the choice of the interaction parameter as perturbation parameter. Landau and Lenard Balescu perturbation schemes are introduced. Electrical conductivity at low and high frequencies is studied. The dispersion relation is discussed.
