A high speed light pulser was developed for spectral studies as well as for the photographic recording of fast periodic and nonperiodic phenomena. The model 869 is described and compared with the high frequency stroboscope (model 839). The technical data of control unit and flash lights are given. The block diagram and the operation of the apparatus are explained including inputs and outputs, operation and indication elements, and balancing elements. The loading capacity of the flash diodes is discussed. Experiments with the apparatus, as well as applications are outlined.
