Neutron Computer Tomography Code Based on the Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (NCT-ART)

A computer code which calculates two-dimensional cuts of material assemblies from a number of neutron radiographic projections is presented. Mathematically, the reconstruction is performed by an iterative solution of a system of linear equations. If the system is fully determined, clear pictures are obtained. Even for an underdetermined system (low number of projections) reasonable pictures are reconstructed, but picture artefacts and convergence problems occur increasingly.
