Shaping the future: NASA STI in the 1990's

摘要

The purpose, product and clientele for scientific and technical information (STI) within NASA were discussed by personnel from NASA headquarters, the NASA centers, and NASA contractors. STI is essential for research and development of new science. A scientist going into new areas of research need to find background information in those areas. Several Federal on-line information systems are described along with various information center/library activities at the individual NASA centers. NASA-wide STI programs and projects are also discussed.
