Study of Non-Ideal Focus Properties of 30 Deg Parallel Plate Energy Analyzers

摘要

A succinct model is proposed to describe non-ideal characteristics owing toelectric field penetration into the drift region in actual parallel plate energy analyzers. A good agreement has been obtained between the theoretically expected and experimentally observed focus properties of the 30 degree parallel plate analyzer.
