摘要

Experimentally determined data on the magnitude of wall pressure fluctuation levels for turbulent boundary layers are presented in this report. The measurements were made on the sidewall of the Trisonic One-Foot Tunnel of the Douglas Aerophysics Laboratory which was modified to eliminate background noise in the test stream normally associated with choked flow over the pressure control valve. A small condenser microphone was used which limited measurements to frequencies below 88,000 cps, a range to which practical vehicle structure can respond.
