When considering the above defined objectives from a syn¬thetic point of view, we may state that they were set as follows:n1.4.1. Define the tracking and guidance requirements for missions feasible with the contemplated family of launch vehicles.n1.4.2. Define guidance and tracking solutions for each of the contemplated launching sites and firing azimuths.n1.4.3. Compare techniques and provide information that will enable ELDO to formulate a tracking-and-guidance policy as applicable to future programs, for the next 5 to 10 years to come.n1.4.4. Provide a critical analysis of the state of the art and sufficient technical background information on development trends to define and initiate project studies leading to development programs which can fulfil future mission require¬ments.
