Summaries are presented of papers given at a seminar-workshop on "Multigroup Cross Section Preparation - Theory, Techniques, and Computer Codes" held at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, October 1-3, 1969. The papers, in their review of the state-of-the-art, show that great progress has recently been made in coping with what is the most important problem in radiation transport - cross sections.nThe papers describe the large number of computer codes, techniques, and data files now available for cross section preparation for use in transport codes.nThe recently developed codes SUPERTOG, XSDRN, and DOT-II have been placed with the Radiation Shielding Information Center for routine dissemination.
