摘要

The behaviour of various heat exchanger steel materials in gas mixtures containing 0.1-1 vol % CO and H2 and approximately 10 vpm of H20 has been investigated in the temperature range of 400-600"C for periods of exposure up to 2000 hours under flow conditions. It was found that in these conditions mild steels, steels with low Cr-content and ferritic steels tend to form carbon deposits whereas austenitic steels and Ni-based alloys undergo superficial oxidation, the latter causing considerable weight increases in the case of alloys with very high Ni-content.
