This report describes a test program, the purposes of which were to provide elastic-plastic-creep structural test data for com¬parison with inelastic analysis predictions, and to demonstrate the capabilities of a Boeing high-temperature capacitive strain gage as a long-term stable strain-measuring device. The test specimen used was a shear-lag structure consisting of a thin, square, stainless-steel plate loaded in its plane through tapered stiffeners. A shear-lag specimen was instrumented with tencapacitive strain gages, heated to 1100°F and subjected to long-term tensile and compressive loads. The capacitive strain gage data from the long-term test are presented and discussed. In addition to the shear-lag specimen test data, appendices are included containing the material property data needed by an analyst for making analytical predictions for comparison with the test results.
