摘要

The operational effect of the heat exchanger systems play a key role in the viability of OTEC as a new source of energy. Heat transfer across the working fluid-metal-seawater inter¬faces must be maximized and maintained at peak efficiency if OTEC is to produce power economically. To achieve and maintain peak performance, OTEC heat exchanger surfaces must remain free of biofouling and corrosion.
