INACTIVE LABORATORY TESTS ON VITRIFICATION OF HIGHLY RADIOACTIVE FISSION PRODUCTS

The main effort was devoted to simulating Purex-1WW model solutions. The influence of several substances disturbing the 1WW solidification was studied, the possibilities for manufacture and application of an SiO sub 2 -enriched fritted glass with regard to optimizing the process control were investigated, and the question of working out the Thorex solutions was treated according to the VERA process.
