摘要

The required tasks and associated costs to perform the data acquisition and system evaluation phase of the demonstration entitled Application of Solar Energy to the Supply of Hot Water for Textile Dyeing are described. The activities concerned with system evaluation of the solar retrofitted dye beck, an energy savings analyses, and cost information as it may assist in providing hard baseline data for making cost projections for large scale plant solar energy costs and even for industry-wide cost analysis are included. The central rationale is to measure the thermal and energy performance of a solar energy assisted dye beck by comparing it with a conventional dye beck, one whose dye water is heated by steam, the main source of plant heat for both comfort and for process hot water.
