This report covers the Greensboro, Winson-Salem and Johnson City 1:250,000 NTMS quadrangles in which 9,550 line miles (15,365 line kilometers) of data were collected. Traverse lines were flown in an east-west direction at 3.0 mile (4.8 kilometers) spacing. Tie lines were flown in a north-south direction at 12 mile (20 kilometer) spacing. Figure 2 indicates the location of individual traverses and tie lines within the individual NTMS 1:250,000 quadrangles.nThis survey was performed under the United States Department of Energy's National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) program, which is designed to provide reconnaissance radioelement distribution information to assist in assessing the uraniferous material potential in the United States.
