During the second quarter of 1978the initial planning phase of the DOD Tri-Service Precision Machine-Tool Task Force (MTTF) was almost completed. The next phase will begin with a Plenary Session to be held in Scottsdale,Arizona,on October 16and 17, 1978,where the task force will meet for the first time to review the Plan for Conducting a Precision Machine-Tool Task Force, finalize methods and approaches for its implementation,hold its first working group meetings,and listen to several speeches related to machine tool technology.
