摘要

The 85 keV E2 transition between the second excited 2 exp + (2 sub 2+ ) and 0 exp + (0 sub 3+ ) states in sub 116 Sn has been searched for in the decay of exp 116 In. The intensity of the unavoidable K/sub beta / X-ray in Pb (85 keV) was observed to be significantly larger than expected, corresponding to an intensity ratio for an 85 keV gamma-ray I/sub gamma /(85)/I/sub gamma /(99.7) = 0.07-+0.02. If this intensity is assumed to be due to the 2 sub 2+ implies 0 sub 3+ transition, a ratio B (E2; 2 sub 2+ implies 0 sub 3+ )/B(E2; 2 sub 2+ implies 0 sub 2+ ) = 1.3- exp + 0.5 is obtained, indicating that the band-head properties may be shared about equally between the second and the first excited 0 exp + states, (0 sub 3+ ) and (0 sub 2+ ), respectively. A deformation beta sub 2 = 0.21 is suggested to be associated with the 0+ states. (Atomindex citation 11:510147)
