摘要

A promising method for increasing baseload efficiency using coal-derived fuels is through the use of an advanced design combined gas turbine-steam turbine system integrated with a low Btu gasifier. To achieve a high level of efficiency it is necessary to increase the gas turbine inlet temperatures to values of 2600to 3000exp 0 F and to adapt the gas turbine to the coal derived fuel environment. The design of a combined cycle generating system for operation on low Btu coal gas with the following objectives is presented: (1) increased baseload plant efficiency; (2) high temperature turbine operation; (3) optimum utilization of exhaust gas energy; (4) environmentally acceptable operation;and (5) high degree of reliability,maintainability and availability.
