Uninterruptable Power Source for a Large Computer Facility

An uninterruptable power source was needed to protect critical elements of a computer complex from short power outages and glitches, many of them lightning related. A consultant was hired to help in this task and proved invaluable. The equipment purchased provides glitch-free power under many fault conditions. Installation proved to be a major problem as far as money and time were concerned. The system is now ready to be switched over to drive the critical load. The project appears to be a success and should pay for itself many times over. (ERA citation 04:040817)
