Review and Assessment of Slagging and Fouling in MHD Steam Plants

摘要

The issues that affect the slagging and fouling in MHD steam plants are (1) deposition rates, (2) deposit composition and structure, (3) strength and tenacity of the deposits, and (4) seed-slag interaction. There is a need for a solid base of technical information in these areas. To enable the designers to make trade-offs and to optimize the system, these data must be obtained over a wide range of probable operating conditions and, if possible, reliable computer models should be provided.
