Dynamical Multifragmentation of Highly Excited Nuclear Systems

In the framwork of a dynamical multifragmentation model we investigated the fragmentation of expanding nuclear systems. We found that the stable fragment mass multiplicity distribution differs (in some cases essentially) from the cluster distribution in thermal equilibrium investigated sofar. We especially investigated the pure power-law ansatz of the equilibrium distribution and we found that in certain cases the fragment distribution continues to have this form with an effective power.
