Steam Drying of Beet Pulp: Demonstration Project: Final Report, 1 July 1983-30 April 1986

The objective of the project is to develop a drying plant for beet pulp and other products, the drying of which can take place within a closed system with circulating overheated steam which keeps the material to be dried moving in a fluidized bed. Steam can be drained from the system to be utilized for other purposes. In this way, it is possible to save energy. In addition to the energy saving, the method will reduce the impact on the environment, and in comparison with other traditional methods of drying, the product quality will be improved. 3 refs., 9 figs.
