Optical Characterization of Silica Aerogel Glass

This report compares several techniques that have been used to optically characterize porous silica aerogel glass. These techniques are accurate and rapid, and they provide excellent alternatives to nonoptical methods for the nondestructive evaluation of silica aerogel material. 5 refs., 19 figs.
