摘要

The superstructure of future naval ships might be built from glass reinforced polyester. Then the question arises if such flexible ship decks offer much shock reduction, that normal shock mountings in between the deck and equipment are no longer necessary. The present report compares vibration modes of typical decks built from steel and from GRP for various loading conditions. This as a starting point for a shock response analysis.
