Department of Defense Youth Poll Wave 11 - June 2006

The primary focus of the poll is to measure the likelihood of youth ages 16-21 to join the Military and to identify the sources of information that influence their decisions. For almost three decades the Department of Defense (DoD) has been tracking youth propensity for enlistment in the Military. The DoD conducts these polls twice a year to measure youths perceptions of the Military and propensity to enlist. The June 2006 Youth Poll collected information during 20-minute interviews with a nationally representative sample of 3,877 youth between the ages of 16 and 21. This report details the findings of the June 2006 Youth Poll.
