Experiments in which levels of many different hormones are measured concurrently, in relation to various, specific natural input stimuli from both external and internal sources, with the aim of achieving as broad a view as possible of multiple hormonal responses in terms of 'response patterns,' or 'response profiles' or, shifts in overall hormonal balance' were conducted.
