MX Siting Investigation. Water Rights Inventory, Nevada-Utah. Water Resources Program FY 80

Results of the water rights inventory in the proposed MX siting area of Utah and Nevada show that the acquisition of a legal water right is divided into three steps: the application to establish a date of priority; a permit to allow the party to proceed; and a certificate establishing the legal status of a water right. In most valley areas the ground water use is considerably less than the water rights in that valley. (Author)
