This supplement describes the procedures for converting the Universal Documentation System (UDS) forms to a format more conducive to electronic transmission. The purpose of these procedures is to provide a standard format for electronic processing and transmission of the UDS forms which will be compatible with typewriters, optical character recognition readers, word processors, and high-speed computer printers.
