摘要

SNAPLD is a Fortran IV computer program which simulates the dynamic response of two-dimensional, series-connected cable structures deployed in the ocean. The program calculates the static equilibrium configuration and dynamic tension and motion responses to forced large displacements at the surface end with or without surface-motion compensation devises. Cable payout and reel-in, current profiles, in-line packages, ship speed, water surface and seafloor boundaries, payload propulsion, and slack cable elements can be simulated. The program uses a lumped mass model. The differential equations based on this model are solved by a finite difference technique. The computer program is an effective tool for the design of cable deployment procedures for undersea arrays and lift lines. (Author)
