摘要

The rate coefficients for the three-body association of (NO3-)(HNO3)N to HCl have been measured for n=0,1, and 2. The rates were measured from room temperature to 153 K. The data were taken in three buffers: helium, nitrogen, and hydrogen. The magnitude of the temperature coefficients in the standard power law fits was found to increase with increasing cluster size. Significant variations were found in the different buffers. The association rate coefficient of (NO3-)(HNO3)(HCl) to HCl was also measured at 153 K and found to have the same value as that for (NO3-)(HNO3)2 clustering to HCl. Implications for stratospheric negative ion chemistry are discussed. Originator-supplied keywords include: Association rate coefficients, Ion-molecule reactions, and Atmospheric ion chemistry.
